Do you like the
idea of making generic units and structures have unique abilities?

Some Fan Comments:
- Clazzy: I feel
that you should provide a balanced mixture, while something like
this might be excellent for walls, a building like a Barracks or
Ore Refinery should be universally equal, otherwise there'd be
outcry of bad balance. Your best choice is to alter units and
structures which are universal and could be changed without
complaint, like the Amphibious Transport, walls, miners, maybe
even APCs (if each side has one in this). Power Plants are
already different in fundamental ways, perhaps (thinking off the
top of my head now) superweapons could have more variety. One
side could use a logic more akin to the Upgrade Centre, where
you may simply place nodes for the superweapon on your Battle
Lab (which would have far stronger armour and less power usage
than the others) to make it more unique.
Base defences can't really be played around with in this
fashion. Each has a different weapon that works in a different
way, giving one of them a longer range may give it that edge in
base-building, but it already has a strength in its weapon which
makes it completely different from the rest. Just thinking off
the top of my head again, refineries could be tweaked with to a
greater extent (and barracks too) to provide different money
amounts or build speeds. Saying that, each side has unique
statistics for this, but each refinery could be very valuable to
their side. maybe even a barracks (not too sure if this would
work) could be different. One could be used as a field hospital
while another as an armoury (to provide elite units. However,
the Aegis Cruiser reload logic could be used to limit the people
overusing it. Ok, I'm fed up of typing now, I'll leave everyone
else to post ideas. Still think you should mod TS next!

think it's quite an innovative idea, and it's one of the few
ideas for RA2/YR that hasn't been worked out yet. For example,
you could arm all Soviet buildings and just give the Allied
buildings more HP. Don't go too far though, buildings that do
different stuff already (such as base defences and power plants)
are quite good as they are :)

is a MUST! This will make YR:Squared an original and unique
production.
- More Soviet More Allied: Well
i'll say it somewhere between Mixing and Giving pecific roles on
them. First of all, if Mooman want's to give them
specific roles, THE NAME SHOULD CHANGE....or not. NOT ALL needs
to change such as Ore Factory,Battle Lab and more...but Change
the service depot is needed, since Yuri have Grinder. I will
post if i got more ideas.

agree. eg. Soviet Barracks can have a training multiplier while
Allies have the ability to shoot a deplyed GI weapon.
- T34 Sam: By all means do
it but make sure that:
-They are characterful for the side and so forth (Amphibious
Transports are a good example)
-Not just for the sake of it - don't do ones that don't need to
be done (your wall example has this in - but that kinda works
tho)
