What would you prefer I do after YR˛? [238 votes total]
  • Continue Solely With YR˛! (42)
  • Move To Generals (66)
  • Stay With RA2/YR (101)
  • Go Back To Past C&C Games (22)
  • Other (please comment) (7)

Some Fan Comments:

  • RA1rox33: Go back. Red Alert 1 is the best game. It isnt perfect, there are lots of bugs, however it is awesome. Way bigger battles, Cooler way game works, good units. But your mod in YR was sweet. Any of you remember that game? just because it's old, doesnt mean it's a bad game.
  • frost bite: I think you should keep on modding YR, but you should also think about modding Generals. Even though there are lots of excellent mods out there already, I think that a Mooman mod for Generals would be excellent, knowing that you would think of original units and structures to put in.
  • Clazzy: As a lot of us know, Generals modding hasn't really expanded as much as other C&C games, mostly because you're talking about something that is way out of a lot of people's leagues. For that reason, a lot of people stick to older C&C games, and simply improve on them instead.
I would think that YR or TS would be good choices, especially since there's an increase in TS modding at the moment. Concentrating simply on one mod wouldn't allow for more scope or variation, and you'd just be adding new units and maps until everyone got bored. You want to stop the mod while at its best instead of saturating it with lots of pointless extras. I'd just like to argue, that there are a great deal of things that can still be done also with the TS/RA2 engine. For example, weather effects can be added, wind can actually influence the game and full understanding of normals means we can improve on voxels in mods. I'd even like to see MooRules in TS, I'm sure that a TS version of it would rekindle interest in the game.  I've decided that TS is the best choice. While RA2/YR is fantastic fun to mod, it's time to see a TS Mooman's Rules, where you can change focus of the mod to Tiberian Sun, and play with that storyline. After all, there are loads of things that you could do for it.
  • Chronophobia: I voted other. Hoping for a RA3 (or something similar) with the moddability of Generals and that old 'feeling' of RA1.
  • Snakebite: Whilst I think that you should stay with RA2/YR or TS one other possibility is to do a C&C mod for UT2K4. It would be fairly easy to code as many of the vehicle coding you could use. I.e. the "Raptor" code could quite easily be used for an Orca Fighter or Bomber (or both) and you would have some kick a*s physics. Can you imagine a Mammoth or Mammoth Mk2 get blown to smithereens. lol.
  • bladerunner229: Hey, its your call at the end of the day. If you want to move, you want to move. I sure hope you stay with RA2/YR though.
  • YuriTD88: Move to Renegade if you can mod it. If not, you should try to learn it, I am sure you can do it :)
  • T34 Sam: Though RA2/YR has its limits - it can be modded heavily - since it has been around for a while it means that many thigns have been discovered for it, therefore many new things can be done. Be imaginative and create new things, be inspirational
  • Big fan: Stay with ra2/yr. Because generals is destroying the way C&C games are, it is like EA tries to make C&C to warcraft 3. So please stay with ra2/yr. I hope EA are making the next C&C game in C&C style!!! Yur mod is the best!!! keep up the good work!!!!
  • nomis: dont move on your work is excelent and your mods are the best i have ever come across. allthought theres is room for improvment you excell at ra2/yr mods. dont go
  • Clazzy: I say you keep it. It gives Yuri something special, and of course, he doesn't believe in repairing stuff. All he wants to do it recycle it He's probably a member of Greenpeace, bless him. As well, if Yuri wanted to repair something he'd just simply mind-control an IFV and plonk an engineer in it. Or capture a service depot.
  • JooG: You've done a lot of work on RA2/YR, maybe it's time for something diffrent... Als, like someone already said, the modding possibilities in Generals/ZH are amazing!
  • mrruban5: Because of your talent I am unable to make a choice to move on to generals, stay with YR, or go back to older C&C games. Making a good mod would be very nice. There are really not that good mods out there that have better gameplay and content. If you want to make generals better, do it now, or by the time you are beginning at it, Generals will be dead (thinks of mooman going to uni). Most of us are all YR fanatics. It is played for eternity and could continue to be played for a few good years. I would absolutely want to see a good mod for older or other cnc games, like dune2000 or E:B4D. That game is so * nice at the point of graphics, it almost not worth modding it. If you want to make a mod for it, you will have to spend ages doing graphics. As you see I can not make a choice, And that's why I voted continue development of YR2. It's your mod, your modding. You make the rules in your modding.
  • Suckman: Hey, Mooman . You has long time work with this game, Do not toss it! I interesting in this games a long time. If you want to make some mod for other c&c games , you should change mod name to another name.
  • nike maker: I love RA2 ,It's very great games. C&C general is great game too but.... If you move out you will lose a lot of hard drive (75% Bigger) and C&C RA2 YR Is a really great games mean C&C General (But not full 3D) Why you want to move it? Stay in RA2 Please!
  • Tarinaky Kai: Genrals is overated, its just command and conquer: Age of Empires with a 3d engine... It doesnt distingise itself from the other purebreed RTS games. Stay with RA2
  • Jerah: by far you are the only mod man out there that is worth a hill of p4 chips. i have looked and looked for a good zh mod and their aren't any. ra 2 is , i hate to say , is dead and it is time to move on. if some of the people out their are haveing problems with the speed of generals then they need to get a better vid card. time to move on and get with the times.
  • Redwall: The modding capabilities of Generals and ZH are astounding. The freedom that was built into the game is almost literally capable of anything. No longer are we restricted to "vehicles", "infantry", and "structures" - you can have any amount of different units you want. And the superweapons possible... it blows the find. And considering your history, it should be easy to find people willing to do models and textures for you, if you can't do them yourself. Yeah, I voted for Generals.
  • Fenring: Finish up with Yuri's Revenge and go back to the past. Generals is just pure ****. The game sucks, the engine sucks, among many other things. People prefer the older games. They have a better feel to them than Generals does. A new Red Alert mod would be a nice thing to see.
  • spider-man_2099: You probably already know what I would say, move on to another game, doesn't have to be generals, just make sure it's a 3d game with good potential and good physics ;).I wish you the best of luck with whatever you choose to do mate :).
  • Whiteboy: Yuri's Revenge is saturated with mods. Zero Hour is a new game and there are not many mods for it... why not make a mod for it? It is a much better game than the normal C&C Generals. There's only so much you can do with YR until everyone gets bored of mods...
  • LJVanArnam@hotmail.com: Come on. Lets go on with YR2 or RA2 and YR. Thats what this is all about. I want to keep it like that. This is what I came here for. I might have all the others, but this is clearly the best!
